Exclusive Auction Site that would allow anyone to buy and sell knockoff designer goods with full permission from the designers.
Idea Description
Millions of dollars are lost every month by the copyright holders of designer goods and products. Millions of people around the world see Hollywood celebrities wearing designer fashions and many would like to own those things too. The problem is the majority of people cannot afford a designer handbags, shoes and clothing. My company would approach each copyright holder & offer to pay them a licensing fee or a percentage of each sale from our Auction website. Instead of losing millions of dollars per month to the counterfeiter's selling without a license, these companies would be making millions back.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would start to approach designer companies with the idea of getting some of their money back from knockoffed goods and products. I would sign exclusive agreements with them to allow people on my website to buy and sell their brand name knock-off products.

Exactly! The weaving studio I apprenticed at creates fabric for the top designers in the world. Our fabric which is one of a kind, is made with only the highest quality materials, and does not leave the studio until it is literally perfect, and sells for $675 a yard and up. Someone got a hold of one of our clients designs and copied it, then sold it through Jo Ann's or someplace like that for under $100. It was still a beautiful design, but it wasn't high quality, it wasn't perfect, and like Kathleen stated above, it wasn't created in a weaving studio by a team of four weavers well paid, in well-lit conditions, who weren't overworked.
By mass-producing it, it reduced the value of the original and devalued her name as a designer. My boss wasn't happy, although the client stated that she knew that it wasn't the studio's fault and our level of perfection is why she works with us, and only us.
I am now opening my own weaving studio and creating my own clothing and bring that ethic to my own business.
You have to understand. Wealthy people and people in the fashion and e…morentertainment industry, purchase one of a kind items for just that reason....that no one else can have that item. Why else would someone pay thousands of dollars for something? Why wouldn't they buy the less expensive version also?
What you are proposing would cut the legs right out from under the fashion industry, and any other industry that tried this.
