Q1: Who will listen consistently (hits)? How will you make money? Are there limitations to the amount of music available?
I think this is a fantastic idea, considering that in the music world today, percussion and rhythm has received more investigation and interest than ever before. More than being closely associated with folkloric music, the cross-culturalization and expanding boundaries of the music world is bringing rhythm to the forefront. Developing the music world through this route may help the declining trend of bringing back tradition, as is seen with neo-classicism and jazz traditionalists like Wynton Marsallis. Encouraging the study of African music is brilliant, although it may be very difficult to dig into history given that there is little music that was written down.
I think it's a super idea. You've DEF got my vote. x Chiwoniso.
