Let Your Car Speak!
Let Your Car Speak!
Idea Description
Do you feel that sometimes you cannot express yourself by just pressing the car horn? Let your car speak up for you! When the drivers behind keep on alerting you, you can let your car response “Patience!” Besides warning other vehicles with your siren, your car can shout “Look out!” When arrived at home, your car can sing the main melody of “Star War”.
All these fantasies can become true by just adding an out-facing loudspeaker somewhere in your car, and connect it to a microphone (to amplify your voice) or an mp3-player/ipod (to play pre-recorded voice or music).
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Buy an ipod, a speaker and a microphone. Equip my car with them and let it speak for me.
Vote for it now.

What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
I am sure this would not be legal anywhere, being both a potential nuisance as well as a traffic distraction. Another problem would be the "road ragers" using profanity very loudly, etc... BUT I this this is a really cool idea! ;)
This, I'm sure, is illegal in most states.
Totally makes me think of Kit. I hate repeating a comment, but the only other talking car I can think of is from My Mother the Car and it's a little dated.
Interesting idea and creative. I believe you can come up with something else even better!
I like the idea. Very interesting!
I voted. UOMe 8-)
Its an intresting idea which has already implemented in India, we have some kind of music played when we revers the car, and also i have recently found one horn and installed from grey market which has preset of 10 msg's like "Give me way" "Excuse me" and few other regional langauge. but the probs as mentioned in advice is very true, all this only good if you are showing off your friends/relative/co-workers when it comes to daily routine it annoyes yourself, you don't feel like horn even touch those when you are with senior mgmt on drive. secondly its really disturbed if we are stuck in heavy jam and it has auto answers, auto answers wouldn't be good idea i guess.
that's good idea, waiting for good news.
well, hard to say, just like the other comment, it could be annoying, it also involves traffic policy, I guess.
interesting idea, reminds me of the smart car from the show "Knight Rider"
neat idea - but this could get really annoying. How do you prevent abuse ?
Very interesting idea. And I think it would be a popular value-add item. But, I'm wondering if there are local ordinances or federal regulations regarding car horns?
