Idea Description
Online medical record service that will connect the medical community. Our company can provide an online portal were medical records would be kept. These medical records could be viewed by the patient and be updated by doctors. These records would include, but are not limited to, past medical history, prescriptions prescribed, and family history (with consent). The patient would receive a medical record card with a number that with a password would allow them to see their records online. When the patient goes to the doctor they would simply give the doctor their card with that and the doctor's assigned ID code the doctor would have access to the patient records and could see all changes.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
The $10,000 would be used for further market research. It would also be used to further the development of software.

I work for a very large medical health care company as a medical record indexer. I input info pertaining to medical records that have been scanned. Hiring? haha
This is a big market opportunity -- but many large companies are chasing it, such as Microsoft and Google. There are also smaller players, such as MEDecision (which is publicly traded and has provided some interesting research on the market). Although, I bet there are opportunities to work with the larger companies to provide support services/applications -- such as by working within their platform.
