Idea Description
My patented idea is assorted absorbent mats, wipes and pigs that use bacteria to digest the hazardous oil into safe by-products. My primary mat is made of recycled cotton textiles and once saturated, can be safely land-filled or better, to be incinerated to produce electrical power. It is also useful in absorbing petroleum and vegetable oil spillage, and is able to clean an already grimy, soiled floors.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Due to my disability, I lack the funds to bring this mat to market. When I win, I will use the money to purchase enough raw materials to make a large number of mats. I am developing a webpage to advertise and explain the mat, with an ordering cart, and payment through PayPal. Also, I am producing press releases, with pictures and website, to be sent to any publication, whose readers might have an interest in purchasing the mat. Also, I am sending several mats to Jay Leno to use in his garage, and hope to be invited to his inventors show. My long-term interest is to license the production of the mat, wipes and pigs to manufacturors for distribution throughout the U.S.
