Sitti’s is a vision of a company that would focus primarily on a warm and comforting spiced beverage that would be “the” alternative to coffee. Although the company’s core innovation would be the drink, the business could also develop its products and marketing in specialty foods and deserts made with the same mixture of spices. The fundamental purpose of Sitti’s would be diversity. The typical notion of a café is synonymous to coffee. However, Sitti’s would revolutionize such notions. The company would enable customers who are not coffee lovers to be able to enjoy the same community atmosphere of neighborhood cafés with a unique beverage that is enjoyable and satisfying.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
With $10,000, I will begin to invest the money into my business plan and start to turn my vision into reality. As a poor business student this would be a substantial infusion of much needed capital and confirmation that my idea has merit.

What is Sitti?
Sitti is Lebanese for "grandmother". I got the idea from my wife’s grandmother who is of Lebanese origin.
I've never had a sip of coffee, but would like to try some sitti. Would you serve mulled cider?
The drink that I would concentrate on serving would be similar to cider, yes, but not quite (that’s vague I know). The key for me is that I want my business to be a reflection of enjoying diversity and alternatives. For me personally, I love coffee, but not everyone does. So when I was introduced to this drink I immediately thought of how well it could complement or compete with coffee as a hot drink (maybe even cold – such as iced coffee). Yet, I struggle in developing a way to introduce this new product (or at least a relatively unknown product) into the market. I suppose a café is the best way to begin, but how do you grow from there?
