Q1: A big challenge for us will be to find a good location with outside seating. We feel that this is key since we livein Central Florida, which has so many chain restaraunts.
Idea Description
My husband and I would like to open a "barkfest" and lunch restaraunt in our local community. We would like our cafe to be off beat and quirky with outstanding, fresh American Cuisine. Outside seating of course for patrons wishing to dine with their 4 legged friends.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If we were to win 10K towards our business, it would go into our saving with the little bit that we have already put away towardss our goal. The money will help us purchase equipment that we will need.

Your idea sounds very market specific. What I mean is specific kinds of customers most likely dog owners. Focusing your efforts possbiliy around neighbors will large dog population and pet ownership will be your best bet. Looking for neighbors with dog parks in close proxsimity would be a good idea.
However, there could be a few conditions with your idea. You mentioned real estate. Zoning a restaurant near neighbors b/c it is commercial may limit you. I would try find areas that has a boutique appeal ie. cute little shops and stores.
Your idea is trendy enough it would most likely survive in trendy areas like this.
The only other aspect I could think about is the health regulations associated with a restaurant like this. Having so many animals around close to where the food is. Good luck. Hope this helps.
