Water Recycling
Water Recycling
Idea Description
My idea is a water filtration system that would recycle water from washing machines and other fairly clean home waste waster sources. The water could be used to flush the toilet, water flowers, and other things that don't require perfectly sanitized water.
The idea is a little hard to get used to, but does your fecal matter really need drink-quality water to fly down a pipe in?
I think with simple charcoal filtration and a UV sterilizer, the water produced would be of a quality to be used for various things. The necessary tank, filter, and UV irradiation lighting could be housed in any basement or crawl space.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If i win the 10K i would build the system and then begin to try to market my idea.
Vote for it now.

How would you keep it separate from drink-quality water? I like the idea a lot - it's a no-brainer - but I don't want to take the chance of brushing my teeth with water I just flushed down the toilet.
I like people who use their brains. Congratulations, Ben! FIRST: The most moral thing you can do in life is make lotsa money by creating positive values. In the next 10 - 20 - 30 - years there is going to be an escalating demand for WATER, FOOD, and ENERGY while supplies vanish...globally. Anything that can save the homeowner MONEY and RESOURCES will be on the short list of money makers. Keep up the good work and keep those grey cells moving.
I would like some feed back on this Atmospheric Water Generator. It cost about two grand, come in several models. Apparently the Bottled water is being targeted for excessive bottles in the Landfills. This has less that a two year payback and they finance the machines. Is anyone out there an expert on these?
