Idea Description
A 2 day program for High School Youth to become aware of the life they are currently creating for themselves and then for them to make decisions if there are changes to be made through 2 months of coaching. Using The Seven Essential Elements of Leadership: VALUES: clarity and integrity about what matters •ACCOUNTABILITY: the buck stops here, without blame •COMMUNICATION: clear, open, curious, honest •RELATIONSHIP: acceptance, trust and respect for everyone •VISION: a compelling picture of the best possible outcome for all •INTENTION: full commitment to making the vision reality •ACTION: building and applying the skills to get results.
This money will assist 450 students.

The reason for starting out with High School is they are about to go out into the world of reality after being in the system. My ultimate goal is to work in developing programs that will work with younger and younger children so that it starts with the first grade. When they come to school they know that they are responsible for their life. I currently have a second grade teacher teaching this format with success. In ten years there will be enough consistency in each students lives that it create a massive wave of self responsibility that the youth of America get to live differently that the current give me model acted out in schools today.
FANTASTIC IDEA! Love it. This is a topic which is near and dear to my heart. I'd love to learn more about your program. I founded a non-profit children's theater company here in Los Angeles, and we are focused on elementary school aged children.
