Thanks so much! Yes, we hope to fill this HUGE need in the filmmaking community. So many talented Filmmakers have projects they are ready to bring to life, if only they had the funding. We also have access to additional financial resources, and great innovative ideas for fundraising that will available to filmmakers and artists in this free program, beyond the idea listed. But until we're up and running, we need to keep the details quiet. It's going to be exciting! So stay tuned.

any new film maker who's got cindy baer on their side is destined for something really big. cindy's dedication to something she believes in is the real, the total, thing.

Regarding your question as to IRS scrutiny based upon money going out of the country whether you are a for-profit or nonprofit business: In either case, heightened terrorist and money laundering laws require the reporting of any bank account of payments leaving the US boundaries in excess of $10,000 (I believe that is the threshold). So, the answer is - it doesn't really matter, you would have to report money leaving the country whether you are a for-profit or nonprofit. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, you just have to keep heavy documentation on who you are funding and why. You need to make the process of money leaving the US a major deal within the company and perform a lot of due diligence on the receipient of the funds. Thanks, Jason M. Blumer

Great idea. There are no programs like this that help filmmakers find financing. I can't wait to apply for the program!

By the way love your idea. The concept is easy it's just about looking around and taking notice of what is need in our everyday world that way we can begin to look at a bigger picutre. TWCCTW is that concept but My Power Mall is the economic factor that helps people not only with their own finances but with the finances of others. You can't out give the univers is part of our concept and at this point the funds would go towards more education and awareness. I love to help non profits and part of that money would be given back to my community to help them. This is such an outstanding idea ... something like this is greatly needed. There are so many outstanding filmmakers who don't have the means to create their visions. Additionally, there are so many patrons who just don't know where to start. Mucho lucko!!!!

As a screenwriter and would-be director of artistically ambitious films that are not obviously commercial (films that fall somewhere between Jean-Luc Godard, Julie Taymor, and Robert Altman), this sort of thing would be an incredible boost, much they way Canadians get government help to create art films.

This is something long overdue in the U.S. As you probably know the rest of the world has such programs funded by the government.
