This essentially exists: http://allrecipes.com/Search/Ingredients.aspx - enter what you have on hand for ingredients to search for.

Hmmm. It would take some work to keep your supply list up to date but I do like the idea. I do think people will see the difference and it's a profound one. We struggle all the time in our family trying to figure our what to make and then after we decide it's then we realize we don't have all the ingredients.

Follow me on a tangent a second: you may be able to partner with some of the grocery stores that could print out recipes based on what they know you have purchased (on this trip to the store and previous ones).

RecipeMatcher helps keep track of the groceries at home. It also eliminates your need to go to the grocery store every time you want to cook a delicious meal. Saves time and money by making the best of what you already have, plus the pleasure of relishing a new recipe you wouldn't have otherwise thought of.
