Idea Description
Wiggle Giggle Learn believes that knowledge is power. Many times parents don't have the child development knowledge necessary to be their child's first teacher. Books, websites and other moms are great resources for sharing what the child should be doing at each age. Our individualized learning activity plans go a step farther to provide the "how" children learn in an organized weekly format. Tougher curriculum standards at an earlier age are a result of the No Child Left Behind law. Many skills once mastered in first grade are now required in kindergarten, skills like the ability to read simple text. We are in the business of educating parents & their young children to ensure success!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
We would use the $10,000.00 to set up a non-profit division of Wiggle Giggle Learn (http://www.wigglegigglelearn.com). Those who need our program the most depend on donor funds. As a for-profit business, we aren't able to reach out to this sector. Currently we sell our products via a download in our shopping cart. However, for the less advantaged sector, we will need to have capital to provide printed and bound learning plan books. We will also need to plan for more employees/volunteers to offer the support needed by this group of parents.
