Stopping horse slaughter for human consumption
Horses are being inhumanely slaughtered to serve as food in other countries. Most of these being healthy horses which would be easily adopted out to loving families.
Idea Description
The slaughtering of horses for human consumption or dog food needs to stop. Race horse owners are selling these perfectly healthy horses for $200.00 to meat markets simply because they dont place. Most of them are taken across the border to Mexico. I live in horse country and now plenty of people who would LOVE to buy a healthy beautiful horse for $200!! They would even pay more. These horses and all other animals in slaughter houses are being inhumanely killed in the most horrific ways possible. All slaughter houses should be under investigation and should be shut down if they are in violation of any rules but this is not happening. These horses could easily be adopted out.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
To go to my local horse auction and protest as well as try to bid on as many horses as I could with the 10,000 to save them from this horrible atrocity.
