Imagine being able to quickly and easily decide what you want for dinner in a new place or on vacation. Imagine being able to quickly get an answer to your stomach’s needs via a text message. That is what is going to be created.
Q1: Would you use a service like this?
Idea Description
You are going out to eat with a group of friends and you have no idea what you want. Imagine being able to just send a text message with what you want, with everything from calories to kosher as restrictions. That is the service we are trying to make, well, actually, that is just a small portion of the service. We would like to have web and text interfaces, tracking software, and restaurant information on a food-by-food basis. Users could then go in and pick where they want to eat based on all this information and keep track of everything they are eating. A good portion of the backend programming for a prototype has been finished, also.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
With $10,000 we would be able to completely finish our prototype and hopefully join a startup incubation fund. We would use a portion of the money to buy a completely customized front end for the users. We would also use the money towards server costs and the rest of the backend development costs.
As a breakdown the money should about go:
$4,000 design of website
$400 design of logo
$1,000 domains and hosting and infrastructure
$500 local advertising
$1,000 data input (there are large amounts of data that will need to be input, and we can hire people to do this quite efficiently)
$1,000 infrastructure for text messaging interface
$2,100 misc fees that arise
