  military uses it already for medical reasons. Field hospitals can read and determine for any allergies, etc prior to treatment.

  I think that many parents will be against someone planting a microchip in their child, in order that their child can be electronically monitored. why just have a bracelet or a necklace that can do the same thing and avid a considerable amount of resistance.

  If your primary reason for embedding a chip into a child is to track their location, then you might want to think of tracking alternatives. Microchips would only be necessary if you wanted to also store information on the device, like the child's home address. I think you have trouble getting people on board if there were GPS-type alternatives which were less invasive.

  What will mothers think of this? I like it though... I could use a little iPhone application to track where all my little kiddies are running off to! What if it gets hacked into though?

  How about an adjustable bracelet? While your product could be helpful in locating children, it brings up a real moral issue of embedding technology in children. That in and of itself could prevent the masses from investing in your idea. What do you think?
  
  Back to the adjustable bracelet alternative... this would allow you to achieve the same goal, but with a different physical appearance on the individuals being tracked. The bracelets can look stylish, not revealing their actual purpose.
