  It may make sense to take a little different approach by you establishing what the industry 'best practices' are and then developing standardized training around this. You'd want to conduct exhaustive research across all types of establishments so you could offer 'Fine Dining Best Practices' and 'Fast Food Best Practices', and so on.

  I think this is a good idea. I have background in restaurants and think this idea is very do-able.
  
  The key to "front of the house" success is in basic service and sales. This could be easily put into a manual that could be used in any restaurant. The only thing that really changes from place to place is the menu (which would be your biggest obstacle as it take months to really learn the ins and outs of a menu). However; if you had talented individuals that are trained in delivering consistent and amazing service and sales...you would have a hit!

  Research the resturants that serve the food areas fast food, family restaurants, moderate to upscale and 5 star rest.
  Put together a questionarie and schedule a phone conference or meeting with the managers or owners so that you can get direct information about how your service can better help them. Then screen all of the staff and categorize them to fit the particular needs of the resturant. Develop 4 to six training manuals that will serve the needs of your public. I hope this sounds like a start because people enjoy talking about what they need and you could get a lot of information for free because you are planning to offer a much needed service.
