  You'd have two potential streams:
  1. Grants. There should be no shortage of categories a site like this, or the sub-projects on it, would be eligible for. Depending on where your collaborators came from, you could even pursue funding internationally
  2. Publications. You could sell 'journal' type subscriptions of your projects, their progress, contributions etc to clients like universities, science related companies etc etc.
