"It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried."
It's time that the United Nations embraces the concept of democracy as well. The alternative is what we have now, a system that legitimizes dictatorship over human rights. Let's face it...peace on earth is no closer. It's time to ask why. So here's the proposal...

Obviously peace on Eath would be fantastic, but it needs to be a plausible idea before it can happen. And though several of us can live peace filled, loving and good lives, we simply cannot create utopia.
Hi sleepers22, But we can also do better. So this is my idea for doing better. It's all about attacking the root cause. For example, expecting China (a dictatorship) to act in a way which respects human rights in a situation like Darfur is simply unreasonable. gary
