Q1: One of the biggest challenges will be figuring out a good name for this service, such as the domain name.
Idea Description
The website would be like any other site which would be full of user submitted recipes except the primary feature of the site would be a recipe finder in which a user would submit ingredients they have in the kitchen, say "eggs, milk, cheese, bread" and on submission the site would return the top ranked recipes that you could make with just those ingredients. A great money saving opportunity for users. The revenue on the site would come from targeted advertising and product selling such as eBooks and cooking ware.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I am already a web designer and have server space set up. The next step would be to brainstorm ideas for a company name/domain name and after that hire a programmer and javascript expert to take care of some of the larger database and presentation issues.
Once the site is fairly functional I would invite my network of family and friends to start adding recipes to the site and making the site public, at this point in time I would then seek further investors to help keep the site going in its infancy.

I saw that there were a couple other ideas close to yours. I also saw that some recipe sites already kind of have this service. Well no ideas are truly original, we are in the age of the total rethink. Look at myspace. That wasn't a new idea, they just decided to make the user profile the center of the site rather than an optional feature of the site. Same thing with the recipes, I think this idea has its best shot if it is the main focus of the site rather than a side feature.
