Idea Description
A 50 gallon water storage tank that is hooked directly into the water supply of a home. the base consists of a filtration unit and a tap. If there is an emergency, this tank would sustain a person for 2 months or a family for 2 weeks.

I'll vote for that. Basically you are talking about an additional tank much like a hot water heater tank that doesn't heat water but holds it. An inline cistern. Good idea.
