Idea Description
We created the first top-up vending machines that top-ups your cellular phone airtime by way of the SMS technology(text messaging).ILoad vending machine is a self-service machine which uses a touch screen monitor for consumers to choose their cellular provider and amount of airtime.The consumer then keys in their cellphone number,confirms their information and airtime amount then deposits their payment by inserting bills,coins or credit card thru the bill or coin acceptor.Change is given for payments larger than their purchase. Aside from airtime the iLOAD machine can dispense game card credits,money transfer,ringtones,send text,advertise on screen.Catering to the unbanked sector anywhere.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
We would use the money to join the technology expo in Las Vegas to promote the machine as an alternative to ATM's ,POS, scratch cards and to show that the text messaging phenomenon is increasing tenfold and the "unbanked sector" is underserved.Since we target the unbanked,teens, young adults who use prepaid accounts as well as international roaming cellphone users who would want to top-up their phones overseas the market potential is very promising. The machines can be located in high traffic areas such as transportation terminals,retail outlets,malls, convenience stores,schools, hospitals,airports,train stations,office bldgs,dorms,coliseums etc.We can sell airtime of domestic/intrnl carrier
