Idea Description

Facebook is a fast growing social network that every student or non student seems to be a part of. Knowing that their application could be used on Facebook encourages students to learn new skills. If their applications are utilized or not, developers will have a presence in the industry and gain valuable work experience as an IT developer. BDPA hopes to help students secure a career within the ever growing field of IT and help them develop core IT skills—programming, database organization, Web publishing, data modeling/warehousing, and data security—utilizing the newest technology.

What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?

With the $10,000 we plan to fund technical training courses for the students to be delivered by Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA). BDPA is a global, non-profit member focused organization that serves the professional as well as high school and college students. BDPA remains committed to excellence and providing a wide spectrum of resources to members, corporate sponsors, businesses, educational institutions and the community. The organization is a catalyst for professional growth and technical development for those in the IT industry.
